Crappy title I know, but I hadn't an idea for it, so I was hearing that song from Anabantha anhere we go.
(Actually the lyrics could fit to the story between Logan and Athena Lol)
I felt like drawing the characters of the story that goes before the one of Kyle.

They are Logan (the original Ares) and Athena. (they both are Kyle's parents
In the back part is Alpha, "The tyrant" (Athena's father)

When Athena was only a kid, sha got a disease. Albert Pharos (Alpha), her father, as a genetic technology expert made researches to cure his daughter, he finally healed her by modifying her DNA.
With his discovery, Alpha started mixing animal and human DNA, this way creating the hybrids (like Kiar).
After the third war world the countries was weak without weapons or soldiers, at that moment Alpha attacked with his own army made of hybrids wich were stronger than a normal human. In this way Alpha got control over the world and proclaimed himself god.
The world fell in what people call the second middle age.

Logan had 14 when Alpha attacked, then he was taken to make him a super-soldier with Alpha's gebetic technology, he spent two years inside a liquid tank to modify his DNA completely.
10 years later he and Kiar gets betrayed by one of his fellows. When Logan dissapeared he joined to the rebellion against Alpha.
He got his scars when he ripped from his body the dispositives that controlled Logan's vital functions which prevented him from reveal himself against Alpha.

Just one side note: Ares is a clone made from Logan (the golden bracelets on Athena and Ares' are the dispositive wich are wires connected to their organs under their skin.

The backgroung came out really improved, but i like it, lol
