Aria is from a different story than the other drawings I've been posting.
Why do I like her so much?, because she is my very first OC I hope to do more about her soon. This one came as a triple practice, lol. I really need to improve my female drawing, also tried to give it a little perspective. >.> and I needed to practice with my color pencils. Her outfit was based on the awesome design that I kinda like it, but not totally satisfied with this work. :S Pencil, ink, colored pencils, photoshop (for the shadow) about 2 hours Peace. Comments
XD jajajajaja ppppinnnnnkk????..... why pink??
it looks like pink.. ¬¬ damned pink.. i hate pink!!.. a-ny-waaaayy... having sooo much colors in your cromatic scale... whatsoever... i'll give you a hint with the pencil coloring... i think [taking on the comment of our good SAASANTMTHEE 'bout the female body <<that aplies for me too>>], that your practice with pencil colors resumes in mixing well all the colors, and imagining first the tones and textures u wanna get first, before putting the pencil on the paper. d'u remember our good friend.. aaahh.. i do not remember his name [but he was foxing with erika in a party 'cuz he was sooooo drunk.. XD lolz] well he used to pick up first all the tones and colors, and put on his mind what kind of mixed tone he would get, so, thats the trick i picked up from him, and i think it works ^^. now, another one, is: do not remark the heavy tones in the end, just remember the basic lessons with the h&b pencils.. remember? do the same with the colors and make a mental cromatic circle for the mixtures u wanna get, that includes shadows and all that darker stuff-- so, don't get desesperate, u are very good, just keep pacticing. well.. i think that's all for now... by the way.. i love this OC of yours XD lolz but her costume still looks like pink instead of red ¬¬. ja.. xD luff ya a whole bunch. muah! -- I'll gradually disappears among the fog, on a night maked by the man... But I will live on every tear, because I'm the source of the greatness.... ~ lolz, blame my "mapita" colored pencils for the pink thing (really I used them to make the base color)
From there I do have my colours planned, eventhough I do plan them with a set of 12 pencils But wich of all our friends that are foxy about Erika are you talking about? lolz She almost can have her fanclub. Thank you so much for the advices m'dear -- The following signature is in Morse code: *Beep, beep, beeeep, beep. Beep, beep, beeeep. Beeeep, beep, beeeep, beep. Beeeep, beep, beeeep.* !!!!! <.< |

The main thing I find you'd need to imprve on is something you've hinted at in your comment; I can tell by looking at this that you're used to mainly drawing male figures. What you need to watch is just simple things about female body structure.
Like how, for example, the chest cavity on a female is narrower; the extra shape tey get over men comes from the bust; and as well as that, the hips could also stand with being a bit wider.
Also, the only other thing I would say is that you've probably out a bit too much density into the calves. Womens legs generally tend to be longer and leaner, and look like the go on forever, making a man (or a woman that-way persuaded), stare at them and trail their eyes up thei length, dreaming about what lies at the end...
Er, so yeah, te legs ould just need to be a little more slender, and then I'd say you've got yourself a great looking gal on your hands.
